Job Title: Payroll Supervisor

Salary: £35,000

Working Structure: 3 days office / 2 days home (Office based for probation)

Location: Merseyside

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the payroll team, ensuring deadlines are met, timesheets are accurate, and quality standards are maintained.
  • Provide guidance to team members, helping to resolve queries and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Oversee payroll compliance, including statutory filings, pension uploads, and internal auditing.
  • Act as a key point of contact with HMRC, pension providers, and other external stakeholders.
  • Deliver an exceptional client experience, offering timely, professional, and accurate service at all times.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven ability to manage and prioritise workloads effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ payroll experience within an organisation.
  • (Desirable) Experience using BrightPay and Xero payroll software.
  • (Desirable) Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and using iMac systems.
