Purpose:

Providing clinical psychology and neuropsychology input within the neurobehavioral model to service users with acquired brain injury.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological assessments using a range of tools and methods.

  • Formulate and deliver evidence-based interventions to support neurorehabilitation and recovery.

  • Coordinate care as keyworker/clinical lead and set SMART goals collaboratively with service users and the team.

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy using varied psychological models.

  • Contribute specialist advice to multidisciplinary formulations and care plans.

  • Undertake risk assessment and management from a psychological perspective.

  • Maintain high standards of clinical record keeping and data reporting.

  • Offer psychological support and guidance to families and carers.

  • Participate in on-call support as part of a rota.

  • Engage in audits, service development, and research to promote evidence-based practice.

  • Stay updated on developments in clinical and neuropsychological practice, particularly in neurorehabilitation.
