Operations Agent

Class 1 Personnel are currently recruiting Operations Agent to join our team in Liverpool, L24. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain industry. The Operations Agent will be responsible for the accurate processing and movement of shipments, ensuring compliance with safety, security, and operational standards.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Willingness to complete Forklift and Dangerous Goods (Cat 6) training.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Computer literacy with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 40kgs.
• Previous experience in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Shipment Processing: Handle inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate scanning, sorting, and preparation for delivery.
• Logistics & Movement: Load, off-load, and transfer shipments within the warehouse and yard, making sure nothing is left behind.
• Warehouse Setup: Support the setup of inbound and outbound operations, including export truck departure activities.
• Vehicle Movement: Safely position courier vehicles (full UK driving licence required).
• Dangerous Goods Handling: Complete checks in line with regulations (training and certification provided).
• Forklift Operations: Operate a forklift where needed (training provided if role becomes permanent).
• Equipment & Safety: Maintain operational equipment and report any faults immediately.
• Compliance & Security: Follow company policies, customs requirements, and local laws; report any unusual incidents or security breaches.
• Process Area Maintenance: Keep operational areas clean, safe, and ready for the next cycle.
• Customer & Team Support: Assist with customer queries and provide general support to colleagues.

Pay & Shifts

• Standard Rate: 13.01 per hour
• Premium Shift (19:00 - 08:00): 15.66 per hour
• Saturday Rate: 14.19 per hour
• Alternative Ops Agent Role: 15.21 per hour
• Overtime: 19.52 per hour (paid after 40/45 hours per week depending on role)

Typical Shift (Ops Agent): Monday to Friday, 12:00 - 21:00
