M&E Quantity Surveyor Liverpool

About the Role
We’re working in partnership with a well-established M&E contractor based in Liverpool. Known for delivering high-quality building services across commercial, residential, education, leisure and mixed-use developments, they manage projects typically ranging from £2m–£15m in value.

As a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take ownership of your own portfolio of schemes, working closely with project delivery teams to ensure robust commercial management from pre-construction through to final account. This role suits someone confident in running jobs independently while also contributing to a technically strong commercial department.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Full commercial management of assigned M&E projects
• Preparation and submission of valuations, variations and cost reports
• Procurement of subcontractors and management of supply chain performance
• Working with design, engineering and project teams to maintain cost control and profitability
• Managing monthly applications and overseeing cashflow forecasting
• Negotiating final accounts and supporting commercial strategy across live projects
• Ensuring compliance with contracts, procedures and company standards

What You’ll Bring
• Solid experience as an M&E QS (mechanical, electrical or combined)
• Confidence running your own projects with minimal supervision
• Strong contractual understanding (JCT/NEC)
• Good commercial awareness and the ability to build relationships with clients and subcontractors
• Organised, proactive approach with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical teams
