We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading structural steel contractor delivering steelwork across a wide range of UK construction projects, including commercial offices and business parks, industrial and manufacturing facilities, residential and mixed-use developments, education and public buildings, healthcare and laboratories, hospitality and leisure, and retail and distribution hubs.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you’ll oversee the commercial management of multiple steelwork packages. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing BoQs, estimates and tender documentation

  • Managing subcontractor procurement and valuations

  • Cost tracking, reporting and forecasting

  • Managing variations and change control

  • Preparing applications for payment and maintaining project financials

  • Liaising with project teams to ensure scope alignment

  • Supporting final accounts and project close-out

Experience Required
  • Around five years’ QS experience

  • Strong background working on structural steel or steelwork packages

  • Good understanding of how steel packages interface with wider construction works

  • Strong cost management and subcontract administration skills

  • Familiarity with UK standard forms of contract (JCT/NEC)

What You’ll Be Involved In

You’ll work across a consistent pipeline of steelwork projects, supporting the commercial delivery from early pricing stages through to final account. Expect exposure to multiple sectors and a variety of project scales.
