Job Responsibilities

  • Manage employees, budgets, and resources for Inclusion services.

  • Improve and develop services, ensuring statutory duties are met.

  • Oversee teams: SEND, Travel and Transport, Access & Inclusion.

  • Contribute to business plans and education improvement in Knowsley.

  • Ensure health and safety standards are maintained.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders for service development and improvement.

  • Monitor and evaluate performance, ensuring quality standards.

  • Manage financial resources and ensure budget adherence.

  • Support strategic planning and service delivery improvements.

  • Promote equality, diversity, and safe working practices.

Person Specifications
Must Have

  • Experience in Inclusion (SEND), Education, Health, or Social Care.

  • Knowledge of legislation and OFSTED/CQC frameworks.

  • Experience managing staff, budgets, and resources.

  • Leadership and management skills.

  • Organizational and strategic thinking abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Commitment to professional development.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Understanding of local government functions.

  • Experience in senior team collaboration.

  • Integrity, accountability, communication, and respect.

  • Recognized professional qualification in Social Care/Education.

Nice to Have

  • Willingness to pursue a management diploma or degree.

  • Ability to travel freely across the local area.
