Experienced CHILDREN IN CARE AND CARE EXPERIENCED PEOPLE Social Worker - Permanent Role Location: Knowsley Council, Merseyside Salary: £41,511 - £42,708 per annum Team: Children's Complex Needs Team Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time Start Date: ASAP Hybrid Working Options Available ________________________________________ Eden Brown Synergy is working in partnership with Knowsley Council to recruit an Experienced Social Worker for their CHILDREN IN CARE AND CARE EXPERIENCED PEOPLE on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled practitioner passionate about supporting children and young people with disabilities and their families. ________________________________________ Roles & Responsibilities * Holding a caseload of Looked after Children * Undertaking Core Assessments * Undertaking Child Protection Enquiries * Undertaking Viability Assessments * Undertaking Kinship Assessments * Undertaking Risk Assessments * Producing Annex B reports * Undertaking Regulation 38 Assessments * Undertaking Special Guardian Assessments * Liaising/ Working close with partnership agencies to support the families and meet the children/ young peoples needs * Preparing & implementing Care Plans * Attending court and giving evidence when required * Obtaining Interim Care Orders/Interim Supervision Orders * Initiating Care Proceedings * Completion of Care Proceedings * Obtaining Special Guardianship Orders * Producing Child Permanency Reports ________________________________________ Essential Criteria: * Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent qualification. * Registration with Social Work England. * Solid understanding of safeguarding practices and legislation relevant to children with disabilities. * Experience working with children and families in statutory settings. * Strong assessment, analytical, and communication skills. * Ability to work collaboratively and support multi-agency planning. * Personal qualities aligned with Knowsley Better Together values: Integrity, Accountability, Communication, and Respect. ________________________________________ Why Join Knowsley Council? * Competitive salary and annual leave entitlement. * Access to ongoing training and CPD opportunities. * Supportive and inclusive working environment. * Hybrid working available to support work-life balance. * Dedicated team and management structure with a focus on professional development. ________________________________________ Interested in applying or want to discuss the role further?
