We are seeking an experienced Housing Officer on a temporary contract for a minimum of 8 months in Liverpool, with hourly rates up to £25 per hour.

This is a full-time office based role with no hybrid working and will require flexibility to attend evening meetings on occasion once every couple of weeks. Key responsibilities:

  • Delivering general housing & tenancy management across a designated patch of 400+ general needs/sheltered properties including lettings, voids, arrears and low level ASB management
  • Preparing reports for committee meetings, attending where required and providing general administrative support to customers
  • Assisting with rent queries, benefits support and tenancy sustainment
  • Working in partnership with external agencies, other housing associations, local authority and various key stakeholders
  • Assisting to log/chase repairs and maintaining property condition, health & safety and compliance
  • Supervising estate or scheme-based staff such as caretakers and wardens where required

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience of providing housing/tenancy management services including dealing with low level ASB, rent arrears, lettings and void control
  • A good knowledge and understanding of housing legislation and best practice
  • A knowledge and understanding of welfare benefits
  • Ability to work from office 5 days per week and flexibility to attend evening meetings
  • Driving licence with access to own vehicle and relevant business insurance
