We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Tenancy Support Officer in Liverpool on a temporary basis until at least the end of August 2025, paying up to £20.50 per hour.

You'll play an important role in supporting the Neighbourhoods Team, assisting to resolve various tenancy management-related requests within agreed timescales by working in collaboration with other internal colleagues, ensuring a high-quality, customer-focused service is provided.

Your new role

  • Owning and resolving various tenancy management-related requests and issues in line with policy and legislation
  • Processing mutual exchanges and tenancy changes such as name changes & additional names to households, collecting appropriate documentation and working in partnership with the Allocations & Lettings teams
  • Dealing with sensitive bereavement calls, succession claims and investigations following tenant deaths, liaising with Legal Services and Neighbourhood Officers
  • Triaging and managing initial response to customer complaints generated via email or web
  • Managing all garage lettings across the group
  • Dealing with tenant permission requests and communicating outcomes to tenants

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience working within a housing management team with a good knowledge and understanding of current housing legislation and best practice
  • An understanding of various tenancy management processes including mutual exchanges, successions, allocations and lettings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work flexibly and prioritise workload
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and confidence in listening, presenting and influencing others to encourage innovation
