Are you passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning? We are seeking a caring, resilient, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Liverpool, supporting children with a range of special educational needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH.

This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in the personal and academic development of pupils who need extra support to thrive. You'll work closely with teachers and other professionals to deliver personalised, high-quality support that truly makes a difference.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs across Key Stages.

  • Assist in the delivery of tailored teaching activities and interventions.

  • Promote a safe, structured, and positive learning environment.

  • Support pupils with emotional regulation, communication, and social skills.

  • Contribute to the development and review of individual education plans (IEPs and EHCPs).

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in a school or care setting).

  • A patient, nurturing, and flexible approach to support learning and behaviour.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • A willingness to undertake relevant training (e.g., Team Teach, safeguarding, autism awareness).

  • A genuine passion for inclusion and helping children reach their full potential.
