We are currently seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school community in Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils who need additional support to thrive both academically and emotionally.

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of needs including Autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social/emotional needs

  • Assist the class teacher in adapting lessons and classroom activities to suit individual learning needs

  • Help to create a nurturing and structured learning environment

  • Monitor and record progress, working closely with the SENCO and other professionals

  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff

Candidate Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting

  • A relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A patient, flexible, and understanding approach

  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
