We are currently seeking several committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to work in a range of schools across Knowsley. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are caring, proactive, and eager to support pupils with special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to each pupil's individual needs

  • Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment

  • Support the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour plans

  • Encourage independence and promote positive behaviour

  • Liaise with parents, SENCOs, and external professionals where needed

You Will Need To:
  • Have previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (in school, care, or youth settings)

  • Be a patient, calm and resilient communicator

  • Demonstrate a nurturing and inclusive approach to support

  • Hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning) are a plus but not essential
