Are you a passionate and dedicated KS2 Teacher with a strong understanding of Special Educational Needs? Do you want to make a real difference in a school that values inclusion, creativity, and child development?

An inclusive and welcoming one-form entry primary school in Woolton, Liverpool is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic KS2 Teacher to join as soon as possible. You will lead a class that includes pupils with a range of SEN needs, supported by experienced teaching assistants and a dedicated SENCo.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for a KS2 class, ensuring accessibility for pupils with a variety of needs.
  • Work closely with the SENCo, support staff, and parents to develop and implement effective strategies for inclusion and progress.
  • Creating a nurturing, supportive, and calm classroom environment that encourages independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches to meet individual learning targets.
  • Contribute to whole-school initiatives that promote diversity, inclusion, and positive behaviour whilst forging relationships with the pupils.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential.
  • Proven experience teaching in KS2, ideally with exposure to or interest in supporting pupils with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH).
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A creative, proactive, and reflective teaching approach.
  • A caring and patient attitude, with a genuine passion for helping all children achieve their potential.
