The Role:
We are seeking a passionate and resilient Sports Coach to join a mixed primary and secondary SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in the Halewood area of Liverpool. This is a full-time, long-term position working with students who may display challenging behaviours, providing them with positive experiences through sport, physical activity, and structured routines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive sports sessions tailored to the needs of students with SEMH.

  • Support pupils in developing teamwork, confidence, and resilience through physical activity.

  • Promote positive behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.

  • Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to ensure pupils are supported in both academic and extracurricular activities.

  • Contribute to creating a safe, supportive, and motivating environment for all students.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced Child DBS registered on the Update Service (or willing to apply and cover the cost of a new one).

  • Strong background in coaching children and young people.

  • A minimum of 24 months' worth of employment references with no significant gaps in employment.

  • Resilient, patient, and confident when managing challenging behaviours.

  • A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young people.
