KPI Recruiting are proud to be supporting a world-leading manufacturer specialising in innovative urban waste container solutions, supplying over 40 countries and driving sustainability, quality, and modern city design. They are now seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join their high-volume injection moulding site in Liverpool. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll take ownership of maintenance operations, lead a skilled technical team, and ensure equipment runs reliably, safely, and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Role

As Maintenance Manager, you will:

  • Lead, manage, and develop the maintenance team, ensuring safe and effective maintenance of plant equipment and facilities.

  • Plan and schedule maintenance activities to support production output and minimise downtime.

  • Conduct and lead root cause analysis for equipment failures, putting corrective actions in place.

  • Oversee departmental budgets, spare parts inventory, and supplier relationships.

  • Ensure full compliance with site safety, environmental, and operational standards.

  • Drive continuous improvement projects focused on reliability, efficiency, and equipment performance.

About You

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

  • 5+ years' maintenance management experience within injection moulding or plastics manufacturing.

  • Strong technical knowledge of moulding presses (Haitian, Engel, Arburg, Husky, Milacron), robotics (e.g., KUKA), and air/cooling systems.

  • Hands-on expertise across hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, and electrical fault-finding.

  • Proven experience leading and motivating technical teams.

  • Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

  • Preferred: Engineering degree or relevant technical qualification.
