Reed Accountancy are currently working with a business in Liversedge who are recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join their team. Full training will be provided. Candidates who are eager to change their career and progress within accounts are also encouraged to apply.Working Hours: 9am-5pm (1 hour lunch – 35 hours perk week)Position: Full-time, Permanent

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Purchase Ledger: input purchase invoices, purchase ledger payments, close off purchase ledger
  • Sales Ledger: send invoices and statements, S/L close off and invoicing
  • Process BACS payments
  • Deal with customer/supplier account queries
  • Create, prepare, and reconcile suppler monthly payment runs/statements
  • Maintain customer/supplier accounts
  • Provide support for the accounts team in relation to customer account payments
  • Process new supplier credit applications and set up new supplier accounts
  • Additional ad hoc admin duties

You will need to demonstrate:

  • Studying towards AAT
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Great time management and organisational skills
  • High degree of confidentiality
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Opera experience (desirable)
