We are seeking a dedicated Cover Teacher to support long-term across KS3 and KS4 after Easter 2025 at a busy Secondary School in Dewsbury, Kirklees. This role is ideal for a committed professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with a range of subjects and students.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Cover Teacher to step into a key role, ensuring high-quality learning continues in the absence of regular teaching staff. You will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and supporting students to stay engaged in their studies.
Key Responsibilities:Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects at KS3 and KS4.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a productive learning environment.
Adapt teaching approaches to suit different learning styles and student needs.
Provide support and guidance to students in line with school policies.
Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure continuity of learning.
Uphold school values and maintain high expectations for students.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, or extensive experience as a cover supervisor. Applications will be considered from individuals with alternative, applicable, education and experience backgrounds.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of varying abilities.
Experience covering multiple subjects across KS3 and KS4.
Adaptability, resilience, and excellent communication skills.
