We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Water Hygiene Engineer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for carrying out a range of water hygiene services to ensure compliance with current health and safety standards, including the control of Legionella as per ACOP L8 guidelines.

This is a field-based role requiring travel to various client sites, so a full UK driving licence is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine water system monitoring tasks (temperature checks, sampling, inspections).

  • Clean and disinfect water tanks, cooling towers, and other water systems.

  • Complete closed system analysis and treatment (e.g., heating/chilled systems).

  • Carry out descaling and disinfection of domestic water systems.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of work completed.

  • Report non-compliances and potential risks to the appropriate stakeholders.

  • Support remedial plumbing tasks where required (depending on experience).

  • Liaise with clients in a professional manner, maintaining high levels of customer service.

  • Ensure all works are carried out safely and in line with company policies and health and safety legislation.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in water hygiene or a similar field.

  • Good understanding of water systems and Legionella control (ACOP L8).

  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Good IT and reporting skills (mobile data capture tools, MS Office).
