Blue Arrow are looking for an experienced Planning Manager to join our clients team in Livingston.To ensure that the planning team effectively schedules workload to maximise the productivity and commercial contributions of a blend of directly employed and subcontract operational teams. Achieve maximum invoicing / sales output come month end. To provide line management for a team of 15 planners / coordinators and post-delivery administrators. To manage the relationship with client operational representatives to ensure contractual obligations, KPIs and commercial targets are met.??Main responsibilities Develop and maintain effective relationships with Operational Managers and liaise with Clients with regards to programme progress.Develop and maintain effective relationships with Authorities with regards to the planning and completion of work.To liaise with the supply chain in relation to the planning and completion of work.Understand and use commercial contract terms to achieve an effective balance between customer services and delivery objectives and KPIs.Ensure resources are adequate for the workload and that projects are delivered in an economic and timely manner.Ensure compliance with agreed Scheduling processes and company KPI's impacted by Scheduling outputs, and ensure that the daily targets are achievable and delivered.Operate in line with Company policies and strategies and be proactive in promoting improvement locally.Maintain own levels of skill and knowledge to do the job effectively and achieve personal targets.Comply with the relevant Company Health and Safety Policy provisionsIdentify and react swiftly to resolve problems before they escalate with the client.To share best practice with and offer support to other teams across the UK.To provide effective supervisory management of the planning and scheduling team and promote their personal / professional development.??About YouDesirable Qualifications [& Professional Membership(s)]:Previous experience in a Planning/ Scheduling role.Driving Licence.?Desirable Skills & Personal Qualities:?Experience in planning / scheduling role. IT literate and proficient in Microsoft Office package.Experience of using and reporting from planning and scheduling software.Experience of working in customer service or a customer focused environment.Experience in building collaborative relationships with existing and new clients and suppliers.Experience in analysing and interpreting data to produce performance reports and track changes.?Working knowledge of operational Health and Safety requirements.Experience of working to and complying with the requirements of the New Roads and Streetworks Act.Experience of / aptitude for supervising others and to encourage and enable personal development of the planning team. Ability to interpret commercial contractual terms and maximise the opportunities that they may present both with clients and subcontractors. ?Skills & Personal Qualities:Possess good verbal communication skills and emotional intelligenceExcellent time management skills, with ability to deliver tasks to deadline.Be able to set good an example to others by demonstrating a professional and positive behavioursSelf-motivated and organised.Flexible attitude and approach.Be a Team player and as well as being able to work on own initiative.
