We are recruiting for an experienced administrator, to join the team at a busy logistics and freight depot based in East Midlands Gateway in the Castle Donington area. You will be working on site within the finance team to specialize in customs billings across the company network and third party contractors.



Hours of Work are Monday to Friday, (Apply online only). Circa 36.25 hours per week

Initially offered on a temporary ongoing basis to cover Maternity leave



Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of customs declarations and related financial documentation.

  • Monitor compliance with trade regulations, tariffs, and other international finance-related laws.

  • Collaborate with the finance department to reconcile invoices and customs fees against payment records.

  • Prepare reports on customs-related financial transactions and financial impact assessments for senior management.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs valuation methods, free trade agreements (FTAs), and relevant financial regulations.

  • Review and analyze customs costs, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.

  • Coordinate with external customs brokers, freight forwarders, and suppliers to ensure financial accuracy in all international shipments.

  • Support audits related to customs and financial compliance.



About you:

  • Proven experience in customs administration, import/export finance

  • Strong understanding of customs regulations, tariff codes, and financial documentation.

  • Familiarity with customs software, financial reporting tools, and ERP systems.

  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across departments.

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
