Salut! is an independent, 28-cover restaurant in the heart of Islington, serving a modern European, seasonal menu. Since opening in 2015, weve built a reputation for warm, welcoming service and beautifully presented dishes with serious attention to detail. Were now looking for a hard-working and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our small, passionate team.
What were looking for:
Were looking for someone who takes pride in keeping a clean, well-organised kitchen and is eager to support the team in delivering great food and smooth service. You dont need years of experience just a good attitude, a willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.
This is a hands-on, full-time role where you'll be a key part of the team. Youll be working closely with our chefs, helping keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.
Key responsibilities:
Washing dishes, kitchen equipment, and utensils
Keeping all kitchen areas clean, tidy, and hygienic
Assisting with food prep under the guidance of our chefs
Helping to plate starters and desserts once trained
Ensuring smooth communication with the kitchen team during service
You should have:
A strong sense of cleanliness and attention to detail
A reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
Fluent English language skills
The ability to follow instructions and learn quickly
A calm and positive mindset, even during busy services
What we offer:
£28,500 per year
45 hours per week
5 days on, 2 days off
28 days paid holiday
