Assistant General Manager - Multi-site Venue

Location: South-West London

Salary: £45,000 p.a. + benefits

Successful multi-site venue in South-West London, comprising of a bar, casual dining, events space and private hire rooms required AGM with experience of a similar venue for this amazing opportunity. You will be creative, with good commercial knowledge, an effective leader with an entrepreneurial flare.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide an exceptional front of house service to everyone who walks through the door.
  • Mentor team members to provide the same exceptional service.
  • Managing a team of 30 staff alongside the GM.
  • Ensuring budgets and standards are met.
  • Overseeing Profit & Loss.
  • Drafting rotas
  • Assisting the GM in recruitment, development and training of staff.
  • Ensuring Health & Safety documents are in place and standards are met including fire safety, first aid, COSHH, allergy awareness etc.
  • Identifying and escalating maintenance issues as they arise.
  • Creating table plans, responding to guest enquiries and queries.
  • Updating and maintaining the point-of-sale systems.
  • Working with the general manager and bar manager on pricing and stock takes.
  • Producing weekly reports for management, in order to achieve quarterly GP, sales, and wastage targets etc.
  • Occasionally providing creative input on operations, marketing, social media etc. to Senior Management.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience managing a high volume, multi-site venue.
  • Ability to manage a team of around 30 staff.
  • Must hold a personal liquor license.
  • Experience using online customer booking systems.
  • Positive and energetic.
