Accountancy Action is currently recruiting a 9month Maternity Cover for Assistant Accountant based in Euston.

Your new role

This is a maternity cover role is ideal for someone who enjoys a varied position. Reporting to and supporting the Finance Manager, you will be involved in a mixture of accounting tasks including:

  • Supporting with monthly management accounts preparation
  • Support with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Responsibility for the purchase and sales ledgers
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assist with VAT returns
  • Liaise with external auditors, suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Process review and improvement

What you'll need to succeedThis could suit an active AAT Level 4 looking to develop further or an individual with proven experience in a similar role looking for a new challenge and change of environment. Experience of supporting with management accounts preparation, including accruals/prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations will be key. A positive and adaptable approach with experience of working in a small but growing business would be beneficial.
