What you'll do:
As an Accountant, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions. You will play a crucial role in performing bank reconciliations, posting and processing invoices, managing credit card transactions, and supporting the payment process. Your involvement in the month-end closing process will be vital for the company's monthly reporting. Additionally, you will assist with statutory audits while adhering to local regulations. You will contribute to ensuring the adherence to local reporting requirements and financial statement preparation as well as collaborating with the wider finance team to enhance processes and improve efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Post and process invoices in accordance with company policies and financial controls.
- Manage company credit card transactions, including reconciliations and expense tracking.
- Participate in the month-end closing process, contributing to the company's monthly reporting.
- Support the company's payment process, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
- Assist with statutory audits, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Contribute to local reporting requirements and financial statement preparation.
- Collaborate with the finance team to enhance processes and improve efficiency.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3-5 years of experience in an accounting of finance role.
- Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations, invoice processing, and payment procedures.
- Familiarity with credit card transaction management and reconciliations.
- Experience working with ERP systems - NetSuite is an advantage.
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial data.
- Understanding local statutory requirements and reporting in the UK.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with a wider finance team.
- Strong sense of ownership.
- Experience supporting operations in Poland, Germany, and France is an advantage.
