Our client, a global investment and advisory firm with over 8.4 billion in assets under management, is seeking a Assistant Fund Accountant to join their Fund Operations team in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career finance professional to join a high-performing, international team operating across real assets such as infrastructure, timberland, and agriculture. Working closely with experienced finance leaders, you'll play a key role in supporting fund operations and gain broad exposure across a dynamic and diverse investment platform.
The role offers full study support towards the ACA qualification, with structured development and mentorship to help you build a career in fund finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with quarterly investor reporting and year-end fund audits.
- Support the calculation and processing of investor drawdowns and distributions.
- Co-ordinate invoice payments and monitor fund bank accounts, including reconciliations.
- Process key financial documents from underlying fund managers, including valuations and financial statements.
- Liaise with internal teams and external service providers to ensure seamless fund operations.
- Support AML/KYC procedures during investor onboarding.
- Contribute to wider projects and assist other teams such as Investments and Corporate Finance.
Requirements
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles; any accounting-related experience is a plus.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- A team player who is curious, proactive, and keen to learn in a fast-paced environment.
