This is a rapidly expanding hospitality and restaurant group based in central London. They have been a leader in pioneering high quality English cuisines and featured in several awards.

Due to continued growth and new openings of restaurants, they are now looking to hire a dynamic Assistant Management Accountant to join their high-performing finance team.

Role

The Assistant Management Accountant for this hospitality & restaurant business, will work closely with the Finance Manager in preparing management accounts. They will be responsible for a number of key tasks including:

  • Support with monthly management accounts production.
  • Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepayments.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation.
  • Perform bank and other balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support monthly and yearly financial close processes.
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial reports and analysis.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement within the finance department.
  • Process purchase invoices and maintain supplier records (Accounts Payable).
  • Raise sales invoices and chase outstanding debts (Accounts Receivable).
  • Support the payroll function.

Profile

The ideal profile for this Assistant Management Accountant position based in central London, should have the following attributes:

  • 2/3+ years of experience within a similar role, supporting management account preparation.
  • Strong double entry knowledge (debits & credits)
  • Experience in maintaing fixed assets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Actively pursuing a recognised qualification (ACCA, CIMA or AAT)
  • Confident with Excel
  • Background in hospitality would be advantageous
