Our client, a leading firm within the practice/chartered accounting sector, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Audit Manager to join their team. This senior-level role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a hands-on approach to managing audit assignments. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients while overseeing a dedicated team to ensure audits are executed to the highest standards and comply with regulatory requirements. This is a hybrid position, offering flexible working arrangements with office-based collaboration in North London.


Your key responsibilities as the Audit Manager will be:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise a team of 6 audit professionals, managing workloads and providing guidance.

  • Audit Execution: Plan, allocate, and conduct high-quality audits.

  • Client Relations:Act as the primary client contact, ensuring satisfaction.

  • File Management:Prepare and review audit files to required standards.

  • Technical Expertise: Maintain current knowledge of accounting and auditing standards.

  • Active Participation: Engage directly in audit tasks for accuracy.

  • Outsourcing Coordination: Oversee and coordinate with outsourced offices.


To be considered for this Audit Manager position, you will require:

  • Extensive audit experience in a practice/chartered firm, ideally in a senior role.

  • Proven ability to manage and mentor audit teams.

  • Strong grasp of auditing standards, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements; audit software skills are a plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective client liaison.

  • A proactive, hands-on approach to audit work.

  • ACA/ACCA/RI qualified (or equivalent). QBE will also be considered.
