Job Purpose
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients
  • Carry out accounting processes and best practices to ensure accurate production of information
  • Run audits from planning to completion, championing quality and compliance
  • Prepare accounts and tax computations within audit engagements
  • Prepare of statutory financial statements, annual returns, PSC confirmations and financial statements
  • Work closely with the audit lead during site visits
  • Build strong rapport with clients, proactively problem solving and handling queries
  • Liaison with HMRC on behalf of clients
  • Delivering a strong understanding of risk management during audits, with a critical eye to ensure accuracy
  • Keep up to date with audit regulations and emerging trends that could impact the audit function
  • Organise your own workload, ensuring client expectations, deadlines, and budgets are met
  • Champion your own professional development, undertaking training opportunities where possible

Job Requirements
  • ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent with recent experience within UK practice
  • Demonstrable track record in the delivery of external audit and accounting services
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbally
  • Strong time management and a positive, can-do attitude when working under pressure
  • A team player who is eager to support the wider team
  • Ability to work autonomously and organise workload
  • A drive for progression and self-development within the firm
  • Experience using ProAudit, Sage and Xero beneficial but not essential
