Ambition is partnering with an award-winning firm to hire an Audit Senior for one of the largest and most prestigious Not For Profit teams in the country. This role offers the opportunity to work with some of the most recognised NFP organisations globally, making a significant impact both locally and internationally.   • Conduct Audits: Deliver comprehensive audit services using a tailored risk-based approach.
  • Lead Audit Teams: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion stages of audits.
  • Draft Financial Documents: Prepare financial statements, management letters, and letters of representation.
  • Team Management: Supervise and delegate tasks to a team of up to five staff members, ensuring effective workflow and team performance.
  • Client Communication: Regularly update audit managers on progress and provide recommendations for improving clients' accounting systems and controls.
  • Performance Appraisal: Evaluate team members' performance post-audit and provide constructive feedback.
  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of auditing and accounting standards and developments within the profession.
  • Technical Support: Offer technical advice and support to the audit team and clients.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: ACA or ACCA part-qualified or newly qualified. If part qualified you will ideally no more than two fails in total (mitigating circumstances can be considered).
  • Passion for NFP: Must have a passion for working with not-for-profit or social purpose organisations.
  • Audit Experience: Comfortable leading audits from planning to completion with recent and up-to-date experience auditing in the UK.
  • Right to Work: Must have the right to work with no sponsorship requirements.
  • Team Player: Ability to delegate tasks appropriately and review the work of junior team members.
  • Pressure Handling: Capable of working well under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with data analytics tools.
