A leading mid-tier accountancy firm is looking to welcome a Part-Qualified Audit Trainee into its growing team. Working with a varied client base – from ambitious owner-managed businesses to established medium and large organisations – this is an opportunity to join a firm that values collaboration, breadth of experience, and career development.
The firm’s teams are cross-disciplinary, combining audit, accounts, tax and advisory expertise to provide holistic client solutions. You’ll be joining a supportive group that works closely with Partners and senior leadership, contributing to impactful client work and building experience across multiple sectors.
The RoleThis is a predominantly audit-focused role, but offers exposure to wider business advisory work, accounts preparation and tax. You’ll be working with businesses of varying sizes and across diverse industries such as property, retail, manufacturing, and more.
Key Responsibilities:-
Carrying out audits and accounts assignments for clients across a range of sectors

Gaining exposure to FRS 102 and IFRS frameworks

Drafting corporation tax computations and basic financial statements

Attending client meetings and supporting Partners/Managers with planning and close-out procedures

Assisting in managing deadlines and maintaining strong client relationships

Supporting and mentoring junior team members on assignments

Preparing audit files in line with ISAs and firm procedures

Contributing to internal innovation and improvement discussions

Participating in firm-wide and client-focused events or seminars

Currently studying towards ACA (ICAEW), having completed at least the certificate level exams.

Minimum 1 year of audit experience in a UK accountancy practice

Exposure to accounts and tax is desirable

Sound understanding of double entry/bookkeeping principles

Comfortable with software such as CaseWare, CCH, Xero, QuickBooks, Alphatax, Office 365

Strong communicator with a desire to learn and grow within a collaborative team
