Cost Business Partner

Location: London (Hybrid - 2 days in office)

Salary: 80,000 - 85,000 per annum

About the Role:

An opportunity has arisen within a well-established finance function of a growing financial services organisation. As a Cost Business Partner, you will be joining the Cost & Investment team with a key focus on cost analytics, management information, and business partnering to support strategic decision-making across the Group.

Reporting directly to the Head of Cost Analytics & Reporting, this role offers broad group-wide exposure and the chance to influence commercial decisions through insightful financial analysis and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.
• Deliver cost and headcount analytics and MI, explaining variances and trends.
• Drive cost efficiency initiatives through understanding business drivers and challenging assumptions.
• Translate business strategy into detailed cost and headcount forecasts.
• Partner with business units to optimise operations and financial performance.
• Present complex financial data clearly to senior stakeholders and contribute to executive-level reporting.
• Support continuous process improvements to enhance the timeliness and impact of financial analysis.

What We're Looking For:

• Several years' experience in cost analytics, reporting, or business partnering within financial services or a related industry.
• Proven ability to build effective stakeholder relationships and provide independent review and challenge.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, able to simplify complex financial information.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling expertise.
• Proactive team player with strong initiative and a problem-solving mindset.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment and driving efficiency improvements.
