Sonic Summary

Our client in the service sector is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their finance business partnering team across 30 UK locations.
The role requires a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience (PQE) and ACCA or ACA qualification.
Responsibilities include account reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
The position offers a performance-related annual bonus, 25 days of holiday, and one day of work from home per week.
Candidates with a service or contract-driven background and advanced Excel skills will be preferred.

Due to growth, our client in the service sector based in over 30 locations in the UK are now looking to bring on board a strong Financial Accountant to strengthen a highly skilled and experienced finance business partnering team. Your role will be to ensure monthly, quarterly and annual assessments, audits and checks are complete to ensure accuracy of financial data and reconcilations. Reporting to the CFO, the job description is as follows:-

Responsibilities of the Financial Accountant Role:-

Account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of general ledger entries.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
Collaborate with external auditors and assist in the audit process.
Support internal controls and recommend improvements to accounting processes.
Monitor cash flow and budgets, detailed analysis and balance sheet review
Liaise with Budget Holders and the management accounts team reviewing the monthly financial close process, delivering meaningful and actionable financial reports for the business

Requirements of the Financial Accountant Role:-

ACCA or ACA qualified with a minimum of 3 years PQE
Proven track record of managing and developing a team
Service or contract driven background is a huge bonus
Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical skills
Ideally trained in practice with audit exposure
Proven track record in staff management
