About the Role
Our client is looking to hire a Group Financial Accountant to join our Group Finance team based in Soho. This role supports our growing financial reporting needs and involves working closely with senior stakeholders and finance teams both in the UK and internationally.
The Group Financial Accountant will report into the Senior Group Finance Manager.
Please note this role is a 4x days a week in the office, based in Soho.
Group Financial Accountant Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting
- Review and consolidate the Group's monthly financial submissions, including profit and loss, balance sheet, cashflow, and KPIs.
- Prepare consolidation entries at month-end.
- Produce regular reports for investors, lenders, and rating agencies.
- Complete ad hoc reports, including those for the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
- Review and compile year-end reports and work with local finance teams to resolve any issues.
- Prepare annual consolidated financial statements under IFRS, including supporting documentation.
- Maintain and update transfer pricing calculations for management fees and intercompany loans.
- Help develop consistent accounting policies and procedures across the Group.
- Act as the main point of contact for external auditors to ensure issues are resolved quickly and deadlines are met.
- Support improvements to financial reporting systems and processes.
- Maintain strong communication with regional finance teams to ensure smooth reporting and issue resolution.
Internal Controls
- Help ensure strong financial controls are in place across the Group.
- Support the rollout of consistent processes for reviewing and reconciling balance sheets.
- Assist with internal audits, including both remote and onsite reviews, identifying areas for improvement.
- Make sure all teams follow the company's financial policies and procedures.
Ideal Group Financial Accountant Profile:
- Fully qualified accountant (preferably Big 4 ACA or equivalent).
- Experience in a large, global organisation within a Group Finance function.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Able to work with people across different regions and cultures.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
