Mapped Recruitment is delighted to be working with a global retail organisation (£1BN UK revenue) on their search for a Financial Accountant to join the team on a 1-year fixed-term contract.
All successful candidates must have solid financial accounting knowledge of FRS 102 and IFRS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Chief Accountant, working in a large finance team
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries;
- Complete statutory returns for Governmental and other bodies (Intrastat, ONS surveys);
- Prepare KPI reports for the team
- Prepare and post monthly Group recharges.
- Review expenses
- Update daily cash flows and requests relevant treasury transfers to cover needs.
- Review and post capex accruals
- Review SAP data and carry out analysis and control of balances and depreciation charges
- Maintain the fixed assets register and prepare relevant reports for capital allowances
- Reconcile net wages and pension balances;
- Review unreconciled advances items.
- Post ledgers in respect of bonus accruals and national insurance charges
- Check the ageing of debt
- Taxation
- Preparation of EC sales list for submission to HMRC
Key Requirements:
- A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a similar finance role
- Financial and Management Accounting knowledge
- A finance qualification or studying towards- ACCA/ACA or equivalent
- Solid Financial Accounting knowledge of FRS 102 and IFRS
- Multinational business experience will be highly beneficial
- Multi-site/retail consumer industry experience will be highly beneficial
- Strong ERP system experience (e.g SAP will be useful)
Please note this is an office-based role based in the central London area - 4 days a week in the office 1 day from home (flexi working hours available)
