Altum Consulting has partnered with a charity seeking an experienced Interim Financial Accountant to support its Finance team through a transitional period. You would be covering extended sick leave and focusing on clearing backlog. This is a 3-6 month role for a Chartered Accountant or QBE with strong technical expertise and a collaborative approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support month-end including accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll journals
- Assist with management accounts, VAT returns, and financial processing
- Provide training and guidance to finance and non-finance staff
- Document and improve financial procedures
- Support finance projects and ad-hoc reporting
About You:
- Strong Excel and accounting systems skills
- Proven experience in financial reporting, staff support, and systems improvement
- Confident communicator and problem-solver
This is a hybrid role with 2 days minimum required in an office with landmark views of London. Day rate on offer will be £275 - £350 depending on experience.
