Our client, a leading consulting firm specialising in outsourced financial services, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their dynamic team. This is a client-facing role where you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries, delivering high-quality financial reporting and advisory services under UK GAAP and IFRS. If you are ACCA or ACA qualified with strong technical accounting expertise and enjoy building relationships with clients, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse portfolio of clients, acting as their primary point of contact for financial matters.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate statutory accounts under UK GAAP and IFRS, including detailed consolidation workings for complex structures.
  • Audit Support: Collaborate with clients during year-end audits, addressing technical queries and ensuring smooth processes.
  • Technical Expertise: Research and resolve client-specific accounting issues while continuously enhancing your knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS standards.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor junior staff members, providing guidance on assignments and supporting their professional development.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Deliver clear and concise advice to clients while maintaining transparency and resolving queries promptly.
Requirements:
  • ACCA or ACA qualification with proven experience in statutory accounts preparation and management accounts.
  • Minimum of 2 years' post-audit exposure within practice or outsourcing environments.
  • Strong expertise in UK GAAP; practical experience in IFRS is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients at all levels.
  • Advanced IT skills, particularly in Excel; familiarity with accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero is essential.
  • Analytical mindset with commercial awareness and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Professionalism, reliability, and adaptability when working under pressure in a client-focused setting.
