Talentedge are exclusively partnered with a largely growing, scale-up Payments business who are at the heart of transforming the payments space and currently experience an immense growth trajectory. Our client is looking for a Financial Controller to join the UK finance team and play a crucial role in the development of the Group Reporting function. This role will be managing a team and be a proven leader by being able to mentor, guide and lead colleagues in the right direction.

About the role:

  • Manage and produce the consolidated financial accounts and statutory reports for senior leadership team
  • Lead the preparation of the group monthly board pack, including the input of analysis for key results, variances and company financial results to aid SLT's decisions
  • Manage the statutory audit process and be a key point of contact for external auditors to ensure a smooth delivery
  • Develop technical accounting processes, improving technical accounting papers, ensuring accounting standards are met and investigate complex accounting policies
  • Oversee the group and multiple international entities balance sheets, financial statements, cash flow position to provide a decisive financial narrative
  • Review full scope of financial controlling standards and processes and actively seek ways to develop financial accuracy, operations and create efficiencies
  • Work across policies and data visualisation tools to improve large sets of financial data analysis for cross-functional teams

About you:

  • ACA/ACCA/CAANZ qualified with 4-6 years post qualified experience in a technical accounting position
  • Payments/FinTech/Tech/Financial Services experience is essential
  • Lead on a group financial audit, including statutory and group consolidations is essential
  • Strong technical accounting experience with a high knowledge of IFRS and ideally US GAAP
  • Ability to work with large financial data sets, extracting data where necessary
  • Strong experience managing teams
