As part of bigger group this division benefits from a strong financial foundation and ambitious growth plans.The JobFinancial Controller for £20m t//o division of group reporting to the CFO.This is an exciting role for an experienced Finance Controller who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will provide financial direction, oversee financial operations, and ensure that commercial decisions are driven by data-led insights.With direct reporting to the CFO, you will play a key role in financial planning, control, and compliance, ensuring the company's continued growth and profitability.Key ResponsibilitiesControls & Insights
  • Implement robust financial controls and reporting structures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Understand business trends, translating financial data into clear, actionable recommendations.
Financial Planning & Reporting
  • Lead the preparation of accurate and timely monthly management information (MIs).
  • Convert trial balances into presentable financial reports for stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory financial requirements / auditors / payroll.
Operational Finance & Commercial Support
  • Oversee stock take processes, ensuring a precise understanding of portion-based unit margins.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies for new and existing accounts.
  • Manage / process accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and credit control—including customer debt and ledger allocations.
  • Work closely with agencies and buying groups to account for discounts and pricing structures.
Technology & Systems
  • Manage and optimise the company's financial software (currently using INTACT).
The Candidate
  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller within a food manufacturing or catering business.
  • Strong understanding of unit margin control, portion-based pricing, and stock flow management.
  • Experience working with discount structures and agency/buying group financials.
  • Ability to interpret financial data beyond the numbers, providing meaningful business insights.
  • Experience leading AP and office staff. ( team of 2)
  • Knowledge of ERP financial software systems
