High end luxury retail business are looking for an experienced Financial Controller with International exposure:

You will be joining as Financial Controller based in Central London. In this pivotal role you will act as the cornerstone of financial strategy, driving growth and optimising performance and profitability. Working closely with the Founder/CFO & CEO, this is very much a hands-on role covering all aspects of operational & commercial finance.

The role is based in our Head Office in Central London.

Key responsibilities of this Financial Controller role include the following:

  • Proven experience in managing budgets, forecasts, Board reporting and financial reports to ensure the organisation's financial health.
  • Production of monthly management accounts and management of company cashflows.
  • Oversee daily cashflows, payment runs and monthly payroll cycle.
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Manage FX exposure, understand FX management.
  • Financial planning of our company by analysing its performance and risks.
  • Oversee all audit and internal control operations, ensuring compliance with law and company policies to maintain integrity in financial reports.
  • Manage the finance team, providing leadership, direction, and training to ensure an efficient and effective department.
  • European VAT, TAX and Tariff impact management.
  • Work closely with operations to protect profit margins, challenging distributors on wholesale terms.
  • Retain constant awareness of the company's financial position and act to prevent problems.
  • Contribute to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions, and decision-making as appropriate, and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and drivers.
  • Ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and ensuring compliance with all HMRC requirements - VAT.
  • Act as main contact for external auditors, accountants and bank partners.
