Description
- Lead statutory accounting and group reporting , ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and Charities SORP
- Oversee budgeting processes and provide strategic financial advice to the leadership team.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and organisational policies.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
- Oversee month-end close, management consolidation, and balance sheet reporting , ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial information.
- Manage subsidiary financial matters , including establishing new entities and ensuring compliance globally.
Profile
A successful Financial Controller should have:
- A professional qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Strong experience in financial management within the not-for-profit sector.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Proven track record in statutory reporting, group consolidations, financial control, and compliance in international organisations
- Experience in ERP systems (SAP desirable) and driving finance process improvements.
- Knowledge of grant/contract accounting, treasury operations, tax, and shared services is desirable.
