This newly created Fund Controller role for a rapidly growing Venture Capital firm paying £80,000 to £100,000 depending on experience with a Discretionary bonus, based in the heart of the West End

Role

This Fund Controller will help the Firm scale the finance function, put new processes in place and refine existing ones. This role will work closely with the Founder to put in providing support for a growing team. Please find a brief outline of the role below.

  • Supporting with the accounting of the investment vehicles as prepared by service providers:
  • Support the audit of the Funds in the Cayman Islands, Malta and Luxembourg
  • Support the audit of the corporate UK and Guernsey based entities
  • Review of quarterly NAVs and investor statements
  • Review of financial statements
  • Management fee calculations
  • Reviewing distribution calculations
  • Develop a knowledge of taxation and compliance requirements across jurisdictions, showing initiative on maintaining efficient structures
  • Compliance reporting and regulatory filings
  • Respond to investor queries about their holdings, performance, distributions and other ad-hoc questions in a timely manner
  • Support with newsletter drafting & ad-hoc investor reports/requests
  • Contributing to quarterly Board calls with international Directors and advisor
  • General oversight of internal controls and financial risk management

Profile

The Fund Controller for this Venture Capital is ideally for the below

  • A Qualified Fund Accountant with at least 3 years PQE
  • Someone who's managed an outsourcer
  • Someone who's happy to work in an SME
  • Someone who's worked with a range of assets- Ideally Tech or PE

The Fund Controller will report into a hugely impressive Founder who is keen to develop people within the team and prides on promoting from within. The Venture Capital business is starting to launch their 4th Fund which is why this role has come up. The firm has also a great culture and brand new offices in the heart of the west end. Salary is bench marked £80,000 to £100,000 on experience.
