Group Consolidation Accountant - Global market leader - £80-90K + bonus + bens - Hybrid / London HQ

This exciting opportunity has arisen from the recent acquisition by a US-based private equity fund. As the Group moves into becoming a standalone organisation, a new role of Group Consolidation Accountant has been created.

The Group Consolidation Accountant, will be responsible for the preparation and reporting of external annual audited consolidated financial statements, internal monthly management accounts and reporting to external stakeholders all in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards.

The role will be key in ensuring compliance with external reporting requirements and adhering to internal governance.

Group Consolidation Accountant Core Accountabilities:

  • Preparation of Group Financial Statements for audit and filing.
  • Preparation of monthly financial reporting in accordance with Group accounting policies.
  • Providing monthly financial information, including analysis to internal stakeholders.
  • Preparation of key investor and lender reports such as quarterly reporting and covenant compliance.
  • Key contact for the annual audit of the Group accounts and responsible for the coordination of the audit across the Group.
  • Provides support to the financial group in preparing and updating monthly and yearly forecasts of financial results and cash flows.
  • Provides support in the annual and five-year strategic plan.
  • Reviews and evaluates impact of new and proposed financial reporting standards.
  • Ensures compliance with current accounting standards and supporting the regional finance teams to ensure compliance.

Group Consolidation Accountant required profile:

Group Consolidation Accountant Level of education & experience in general:

  • Qualified Accountant (ICAEW membership or equivalent).
  • Minimum 10+ years of broad experiencein accounting and the preparation of Group financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
  • Extensive knowledge of IFRS accounting principles.
  • Ability to manage staff and influence others in the group as well as across company departments.
  • Knowledge of the chemicals industry and/or manufacturing processes would be a positive.

Group Consolidation Accountant technical skills:

  • Solid mathematical and financial acumen
  • Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills
  • SAP experience ideal
  • Consolidation software experience beneficial

  • Self-starter, organised and capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Self-directed and establishes own priorities to meet needs of the multiple organisations and teams depending upon this role.

The expectation is the successful candidate will be based out of the new central London regional HQ 4 days per week.
