William James.Sheridan Maine is supporting our client in recruiting for an exciting opportunity: an experienced Indirect Tax Analyst to join a well-established organisation within a specialist tax team.As an Indirect Tax Analyst, you will work closely with the Indirect Tax Manager to ensure the accurate and timely submission of indirect tax returns while providing valuable tax insights. This is a highly analytical role, requiring strong Excel skills and confidence with financial systems.Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, analyse, and interpret financial data to support indirect tax compliance and advisory activities.
  • Prepare and submit accurate VAT, CIS, and PSA returns.
  • Support the standardisation of tax processes, documentation, and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments.
  • Drive continuous improvement in systems and processes.
  • Assist with tax audits.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be ideally qualified (ACA / ACCA / CTA or equivalent).
  • Have strong expertise in indirect tax with a keen eye for analysis and detail.
  • Possess experience with CIS and PSA (highly advantageous).
  • Demonstrate advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
  • Be experienced with financial systems and reporting tools.
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Be able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
