Interim Financial Accountant | Global Creative Media Agency | 6 month Contract

Harmonic are thrilled to be working exclusively with one of the most respected and globally known creative marketing agencies in the search for an Interim Financial Accountant during an exciting period of change. This position will play a key role as the business grows and will sit Outside IR35.

The Client:

Our client are one of the largest marketing and communications agencies, operating across several continents and with a main hub based in London. Due to their presence, there is a strong team across all departments with senior leaders that have fantastic careers in the space.

Over the last 18 months, they have grown by nearly 20% in terms of headcount, with revenue set to continue growing over the next 2 years. This branch of the group work directly with brands to create original, strategic, collaborative partnerships and campaigns.

With a fantastic office space in the heart of Central London, they are a values driven business making a direct impact working with some of the leading names across tech, media, sports and entertainment.

The Role:

As the Interim Financial Accountant, you will report directly to the Finance Director and play an integral role in supporting the company's financial operations. You will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, provide key insights into financial performance, and support strategic financial decisions as the company scales. There will also be several key system and change transformation projects to lead on allowing the finance director to continue with their strategic responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on specific change transformation projects in line with business needs
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance for new initiatives and expansion plans.
  • Lead initiatives to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and streamline financial operations.
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end close activities in collaboration with the Head of Finance.
  • Support with year end and statutory accounts
  • Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and tracking financial performance to support business growth.
  • Deliver meaningful financial insights to support strategic planning and informed decision-making.
  • Ad hoc project based support for wider finance function

What we need to see (essential):

  • ICAS, ICAEW, ACA, ACCA Qualified
  • Creative agency background (TV&Film, Music, Marketing, PR, Communications)
  • Strong attention to detail and experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

What we need to see (bonus):

  • Xero software experience

Day Rate: £450 - £600 per day (Outside IR35)

Location: London (2 days in the office)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: 6 months, with potential to extend and transition to a permanent role.
