Interim Financial Accountant | Hospitality Construction Scale Up | 6 month Contract

Harmonic are thrilled to be working exclusively with one of the most respected and globally known specialist construction businesses, operating in the luxury hospitality sector. This is a newly created Interim Financial Accountant position to support on key areas across audit and year end, with ad hoc support required as the business continues to scale. This position will play a key role within the finance function and will sit Outside IR35.

The Client:

Our client are a prominent UK-based construction firm, specialized in delivering high-end projects across the luxury hospitality, residential, cultural, and retail sectors. Their business model is centred on offering comprehensive, bespoke construction and interior solutions, with several ongoing projects taking place with their clients consisting of some of the most respected and high end organisations within their respective sectors.

From exclusive homes and listed building restorations to landmark hospitality venues and luxury retail boutiques, our client takes real pride in their work and meticulously oversee each project with expertise and care. With a fantastic office space in the heart of Central London, they are a values driven business making a direct impact in their space, with exciting plans to continue growing over the next few years. As an SME, there is a tight knit culture in place, with lots of opportunities for autonomy and influence.

The Role:

As the Interim Financial Accountant, you will report directly to the CFO and play an integral role in supporting the company's financial operations. The core focus of the role will be to lead on audit and add value throughout the year end process, while the fast growth nature of the business will likely result in supporting with other responsibilities as the role progresses. There is also an extremely high likelihood the contract will be extended and also made permanent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee year end and audit process, acting as main point of contact during this process
  • Prepare and review financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
  • Posting year end adjustments to reflect financial position of the business
  • Support with the timely production of management accounts
  • Ad hoc project based support for wider finance function

What we need to see (essential):

  • ICAS, ICAEW, ACA, ACCA Part Qualified
  • Strong audit background

What we need to see (bonus):

  • Construction industry background
  • Strong attention to detail

Day Rate: £300 - £400 per day (Outside IR35)

Location: Central London (3 days in the office)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: 6 months, with potential to extend and transition to a permanent role.
