Interim Systems/Project Accountant

3-Month Contract | Central London | Non-Profit Sector
A highly respected non-profit organisation is searching for a sharp, systems-savvy Project Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. Reporting to a seasoned and supportive Head of Finance, this is your chance to play a pivotal role in transforming the operational backbone of a purpose-driven organisation.

The Brief

  • Identify risks and inefficiencies, and support in implementing improvements to enhance accuracy and usability of the finance system
  • Provide financial analysis, modelling and costings to support bid submissions
  • Provide financial information for business cases and board reporting
  • Work closely with the stakeholders to ensure robust financial input into strategic initiatives


Candidate requirements

  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Qualified accountant (CIPFA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent)
  • Strong fund accounting experience
  • Experience in training or guiding others effectively on the use of financial systems and the application of financial procedures
  • Experience in proactively identifying and implementing improvement changes in systems/ processes or continuous improvements within the Service
  • Assertive and strong communication skills with excellent listening skills together with persuasive analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems, ideally Business Central

  • 3-month contract starting immediately
  • Central London-based, hybrid working available - 2 days a week on site preferred but there is flexibility
