Cedar is currently partnered with a fast-moving, privately owned real estate investment group to secure an Interim Senior Management Accountant. The role is a 3-6 month contract, paying £400-£450 per day outside IR35.

Operating a diversified portfolio spanning commercial, residential, and hospitality sectors, the business combines long-term capital strategy with dynamic operational execution. With a busy period of reporting, audit, and lender engagement ahead, they are seeking experienced interim support to strengthen their group finance capability and ensure delivery to board and external stakeholders.

The Role

As Interim Senior Management Accountant, you will:* Lead group consolidations and prepare high-quality statutory and management accounts* Drive the month-end close process, ensuring timely, accurate, and insightful reporting across entities* Coordinate year-end audit activity and act as key liaison for external auditors* Deliver bank covenant reporting, cash flow forecasts, and support working capital analysis* Manage core accounting activities - prepayments, accruals, payroll oversight, and ledger controls* Input into budgeting cycles, financial modelling, and variance analysis to inform business planning* Ensure robust financial governance and support junior finance team members

Your Profile

You will ideally have:* A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)* Solid experience in group reporting, audit prep, and financial controls within multi-entity environments* Comfort operating in hands-on, fast-paced finance functions* Previous experience in real estate, property, or asset-heavy businesses (desirable)* Strong Excel capability, with the ability to enhance existing models and reports* A delivery-focused, pragmatic approach with strong stakeholder communication skills
