Our client, a global property group, are looking for a Tax Manager to join their London finance team on a 12 month fixed term contract basis. Working closely with the Group Tax Director, the successful candidate will have substantial experience in managing tax compliance and reporting, and can understand the needs and expectations of stakeholders across the group. Looking for a June start.

Description

The responsibilities of the Interim Tax Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee tax compliance across the group, including corporation tax, VAT, etc.
  • Prepare and coordinate tax returns and submissions.
  • Collaborate with the team to monitor the impact of international activity on UK tax compliance.
  • Work closely with the Group Tax Director and wider team to lead on Senior Accounting Officer and Risk reporting.
  • Lead the annual tax reporting process, delivering accurate figures and disclosures.
  • Prepare tax contribution analysis and contribute to the tax sections of audit committee papers.
  • Assist with the design of appropriate controls testing for taxes.
  • Work alongside the finance transformation team to support on key tax requirements and queries for the new finance system.
  • Assist the wider finance function with process improvements.

Skills

The skills of the Interim Tax Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Previous experience managing tax compliance and reporting.
  • Advanced Excel with the ability to work across large datasets.
  • Skilled at simplifying complex tax matters and problem-solving independently.
  • Self-motivated, with strong initiative and stakeholder awareness.
