Robertson Bell is partnering with a leading not-for-profit organisation to recruit an Interim Financial Accountant. Reporting to the Financial Controller you will work alongside specialist accountants to help deliver the statutory accounts and supporting schedules for the 31st March 2025 year-end. The role required two days on site in London.

The Role

  • Assist in preparing statutory accounts and schedules for the central entity and its subsidiaries.
  • Manage large data sets, including posting journals with multiple hundreds of lines.
  • Support the automated consolidation process using Agresso (Unit4).
  • Liaise with treasury and other teams to review and reconcile control accounts, supporting any write-offs.
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders within finance to ensure accuracy and compliance.

The Person

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience preparing statutory accounts and balance sheets within a large, complex organisation.
  • Strong data manipulation skills and confident working with high-volume journals.
  • Experience using a large accounting system—Agresso/Unit4 experience highly desirable.
  • A background in small or medium-sized practice would be well-suited, offering strong technical grounding; prior experience in the not-for-profit sector is not essential.
  • Collaborative and proactive, able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
