Day-to-day of the role:
  • Maintain client bookkeeping records using Excel and various accounting software.
  • Prepare statutory and management accounts for clients.
  • Potentially handle corporation tax returns, personal Self-Assessment returns, and assist with other taxes such as VAT and PAYE.
  • The role is office-based with a strong emphasis on training and professional development in a secure and rewarding environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years’ experience in bookkeeping, preparation of trial balance, and financial statements.
  • Understanding of UK tax compliance.
  • Proficiency in software such as Excel, QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, Thomson Reuters Digita, Iris Elements, and Moneysoft Payroll Manager.
  • Ability to manage own workload and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Keen eye for detail and strong team working skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated individual with a passion for accuracy and excellence.
